Giới thiệu về tác giả (2023)

Hubert Harrison (1883-1927) was an African-American political activist, writer, and orator. Born in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Harrison immigrated to the United States as a teenager and settled in New York City. He became a leading figure in the Harlem Renaissance and was known as "The Black Socrates" due to his sharp intellect and charismatic speaking style. Harrison was an early member of the Socialist Party of America and later became an activist in the Industrial Workers of the World. He was also a co-founder of the Harlem Socialist Club, which was an influential group in the early 20th century black intellectual movement. Harrison's writings covered a wide range of topics, including race, politics, and history. He was particularly concerned with the fight for equality for black people in the United States and around the world. He died in 1927 at the age of 43.
